Message from Board Presidenrt
Board President
Over the years I have also spent a great deal of my time working on ways to make people’s homes safer and healthier. A home is a place where families should feel safe, especially children. Unfortunately, too many children in Ohio are exposed to lead, mold, radon and a number of circumstances which trigger asthma.
There are a lot of things out there that can make people sick and that is why the Ohio Healthy Homes Network’s mission is more important than ever. OHHN continues to promote healthy, safe and affordable housing for people of all ages. OHHN advocates for public policy on the federal, state and local levels that help to improve indoor air quality for families throughout Ohio.
Our organization, along with our partners want to ensure that children are not poisoned by lead, that families are equipped to discover and address lung cancer-causing Radon gas, and that residents are able to properly remove mold from their environment and promote healthier lifestyles by limiting triggers of asthma.
I believe if we all concentrate on removing the harmful things present in our environment, we can limit the negative impacts they have on our bodies and improve the lives of our fellow Ohioans. I ask you to join us in our work of making every Ohio home safe, clean, and healthy.
Sincerely,
Phillip Bouton
